Se presentan varios casos en donde el crédito por los descubrimientos que marcaron el avance de la genética y la genómica en el siglo XX no siempre fue equitativamente distribuido o se otorgó tardíamente luego de mucha controversia. Se reflexiona sobre el impacto que esta manera de proceder en el campo de las ciencias puede tener en la formación de nuevos científicos.
Abstract:
We present a series of examples in which due credit for the discoveries that advanced genetics and genomics during the twentieth century were not given or given after a long time of unneeded controversy. The article explores the consequences that this approach has in the education and training of future scientists.
